A Nightmare!
I cannot help but feel frustrated about my whole experience taking the real estate licensure exam.
Let me start off with by far the earliest call time ever. Waking up at 5am for a 6:30am call time was probably the most dreaded of all. And it’s not like I’m 5-10 kilometers away from the venue… It was in University of the East Manila (Claro M. Recto)! Good thing we traveled early else, the traffic would’ve just given me a bad headache. Still…. it was faaaaaaaaaar from my place- the far away land of Filinvest QC, almost as far as FARview.. I mean, Fairview.
Anyway……. I was supposed to bring my phone, but my dad told me not to ‘cos it might just get lost (we’ll never know), and besides, it was noted that NO CELLPHONES were allowed inside the classroom. I complied and left it in the car. So were my review materials! When I got off, the line was so unbelievably long from outside the gates of U.E.- almost like a kilometer in length, if not longer. We almost looked like angels at dawn with our white outfits (yes, there was a dress code and take note: guys had their shirts tucked, HAHAHA)! Some vendors even sold white polo shirts for those who missed out on reading the instructions set by the Commission.
Entering the campus amidst throngs of people looking for their respective classrooms was not the most pleasant experience. My goodness, it was 630 in the morning and popping a sweat was one of my least desires! How bad can this thing get, I thought to myself.
Alas, I found my room on the third floor and settled down. The proctor came in and wrote her instructions on the board and as the clock hit 8am, we were all “war-like” ready. GAME ON.
But wait…. As soon as it turned past the minute of 30, we were all worrying- that we start too late or that they even cancel.
Unbelievable and ironic.
PRC is actually professionalizing the real estate vocation and yet they themselves were not showing professionalism to the littlest, minute detail. Everyone wanted to start and get it over with and all the stupid waiting just prolonged our agony. 9am and the papers were in. AT LONG LAST.
And now we go on to the test questionnaires, which turned out to be the biggest nightmare of all (almost at par with having NO water in the restroom and the noise the aircon made the entire time hihi). It had a lot of erasures and handwritten remarks on almost every page! How professional right? And even if I’m not a grammar expert, I think I do have a valid point about expecting at least decent grammar. Bare minimum would be what.. subject-verb agreement? Sigh.
Oh well, what can we do? I guess I just really tried to pull myself together and focus on the test. Of course I wanted to do well and the best! Phew! Crossing my fingers now.
Wish us all luck! :)
Drowning in info

Been studying my ass off for a fraction of every day since Monday. TONS to go over, understand and memorize.
I have 18 days left. Make that 15 because I don’t want to study days before.

Tired kid.
Desk space invasion.

This is what my desk currently looks like- or at least half of it.
I’ve been downing an espresso roast (which is incredibly cheap!) and reading this wire-bound reviewer altogether for a week now. The exam is drawing near and I thought I had to do some individual studying apart from the review classes, which nearly mirror the effect of a lullaby! I’m a visual learner but eventhough resource speakers utilize a powerpoint, they literally just grab every word from thehardcopy reviewers that they distribute, and place it on a powerpoint. What’s even worse is that most of them just read what’s shown- verbatim!!
Spell B-O-R-I-N-G.
It’s good that my partner and I are doing some discussions on our own during free, idle time, which I think is better than sitting around like a zombie for about a quarter of a day and listening to a monotone.
