For the fourth time!

It’s that time of the year again.

Our family is among those who splurge on travel trips- whether local or abroad. My mom, compared with the rest of us in the family, is the most frugal. She’s very guarded when it comes to expenses- pretty much the opposite of my dad who is, for lack of a better word, “galante”. He’s the type who won’t even look at the price of something he needs. Take note, needs. He’s not a big spender on everything. In fact, he rarely spends; but when he does, he’d spend a fortune provided that it’s great quality.

Given that, my mom, having blessed with a controlled financial hand, would always save up for a grand trip. She loooves going abroad and planning trips, along with ehem ehem- me. Although she’s the type who’d prefer the US over India or South Africa or simply the type who’s not too adventurous, I still find solace in the fact that we can still go take a time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Now, she’s racking up our travel savings double time for another trip in… wait for it… AUSTRALIA!!!

I have been to the land of the kangaroos, boomerangs, and koalas three times already. The first trip was when I was in 4th grade, i think. And if I remember correctly, that was the first time I ever laid eyes on DORITOS!!! The second one was when I was in high school and the whole family went. The third time was the most exciting because it was just me and my sister, who was a minor back then so we had to arrange some additional travel documents. It was sort of a test for me as a young adult and as an older sister and I think I proved myself to my parents, who later on gifted me with a “free hand” on the car. HAHAHAHA.

And now I feel sooo blessed to have been given another chance to travel again in this awesome place.

Thank you Lord!!!!!

This blog consists of daily musings of a 23 year old lass from Manila who simply likes to blurt out and take pictures of interesting things, randomly give hugs, google on the latest fashion trends, score vintage and timeless bargains, and write about anything fascinating and involving- like shots of nature, wonderful people, and perhaps the best of all- sumptuous and healthy dishes. free counters
